The Opportunity
Oregon Department of State Lands (ODSL) has retained Realty Marketing/Northwest
under a two-year contract to sell, at Auction, Common School Fund properties,
as designated by the State Land Board, to benefit the Common School Fund
which provides money for Oregon's K-12 public education. Distributions
to Oregon's K-12 Public School Districts in the 2009-2011 Biennium are
expected to total $99.2 million.
Ten timber and recreation tracts located in Lane, Douglas, Coos and Curry Counties are being offered for sale, for both the first time and to the general public, and range in size from 37± to 641± acres. These properties contain over 27 million board feet of primarily Douglas fir timber, with 40% of the lands having well-stocked 10 to 40 year old reproduction, providing both near-term cash flow and long-term growth.
Published Reserve Prices, also known as minimum selling prices, have been established for each property and range from $62,500 to $1,498,500. Special five year Auction financing, subject to credit approval, is being provided by Oregon Department of State Lands as an added incentive to prospective buyers. Auction Property #200 - Blachly Mountain Timber Tract, in Lane County, and Auction Property #202 - Tyee Timber Tract, in Douglas County, are being offered as part of the Realty Marketing/Northwest Spring 2010 Oral Auction on Saturday, April 24 at the Portland Airport Sheraton.
